Associate curator of the collective exhibition The Forbidden Fruit: Object of Desire held at the Arts Connection gallery space in Miami, Florida, in collaboration with the Artist Collective Food of War and the Arts Connection Foundation. Taking into account the ethos of the artist collective Food of War, of investigating how food is connected to conflict, how can the pomegranate therefore, comment on the production, consumption, distribution, physiological, historical, ideological and emotional existence of what we eat? Artists from the Global South and Latin America, members of the LGBTQAI+ community and allies look critically at the intrinsic network of human desire through a wide range of media including photographs, moving image works and installations.
